Home building increasing again in Wellington – mainly new apartments

Wellington recorded New Zealand’s second-largest increase in new residential building consents last month, compared with the same month a year ago. Statistics New Zealand reports that in June a total of 148 new consents were issued in the Wellington region – an increase of 83 over June 2011. Of the increase in consents, 78 were in Wellington City, and 71 were for new city apartments. Read more »
