Film Festival apologises after problems with first day of online bookings

Wellington.Scoop
Wellington online bookings for the NZ International Film Festival opened this morning – and the demand was so high that there were problems with the link to the online booking site. As a result, festival director Bill Gosden apologised:

We sincerely apologise for the delays in online ticketing for Wellington this morning. We, like you, were infuriated to find recurring issues between our website and the ticketing system when we went on sale at 10 am.

After repeated assurances from our web provider and ticketing agent we were confident that everything was on track to go smoothly, and vigorously promoted our on-sale date accordingly. To our utter dismay the resulting demand has meant issues experienced in 2016 returned like a bad dream for everyone this morning.

Thank you for your forbearance as our team tried to work around the problems and communicate with you this morning. We are continuing to process the bookings that were delayed this morning. If you experience any problems while on the site we’d appreciate you letting us know immediately. Send your order details and any text from the error message via email to tickets@nziff.co.nz.
