Consumerism, & the associated advertising industries, are partially responsible for driving the poor & gullible further into debt. I hope Jacinda also bans greedy foreign outfits from setting up shop in our country.

Are you kidding? Are there no Wellington public members in the Hutt Valley? Is the Hutt Valley not part of the Wellington region now? This article serves to show how ridiculous our municipal boundaries are. Most people don’t draw any distinction based on municipal boundaries – they consider “Wellington” to be the metropolitan area (so Lower Hutt is part of Wellington), not the area within the municipal boundaries which is subject to the jurisdiction of the city council.

Wellington is a big place. It runs south from Upper Hutt to Island Bay, then back north to Pukerua Bay. It’s bigger than just the quaint little place administered by the WCC.

Rob G – Great to hear you support the 100% electric, quiet, unique to the Southern hemisphere, humble Wellington trolleys.

Please come along to champion our Trolleys on Tuesday at 6pm starting outside Unity Books on Willis Street. Hear why we should be investing in our trolleys rather than scrapping them. Then ride a trolley from 6.30pm on their last night before GWRC switches off their power at midnight. Then share a beer, wine or whatever to reminisce.

Let’s give our trolley buses a last hurrah at least!

Why are they opening in the Hutt Valley? Surely Lambton Quay would have been a better option.
