Police handling this incident should be publicly praising a hero. But they are not.

    1. The men are NOT known to each other.
    2. One of the men was invited to a boarding house by a friend who was boarding there.
    3. The friend, who was beside himself with emotion, came to tell him he was sure that two young females, one of whom was a close friend to him, were being held against their will in one of the rooms.
    4. Discerning all the available information, the invitee felt the alert of an emergency. So he investigated. Asking the alleged perpetrator “if the girls were alright”.
    5. The man realised that the two young girls were in grave danger. The perp was armed with a pick axe as the invitee backed him up a flight of stairs until the perp locked himself in his room.
    6. Forced by the circumstances he now faced, the invitee forced his entry. He found the two women hog-tied and gagged and beaten.
    7. The invitee and his friend, now faced with extreme and extraordinary circumstances, proceeded to disable the perp and rescue the women.
    8. The men faced an extreme and extraordinary intolerable wrong. They were faced with an armed man clearly prepared to seriously harm any individual.
    9. I leave with this quote: “Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper.”

G Jenkins, thanks for that detail. One hopes that truth, fairness and justice will prevail as this works itself out, and that hero, villain and those rescued are given the reward/punishment/care they deserve.
