Fresh from his appearance in Thor, Sam Neill was among the guests at Government House in Wellington this week for the launch of the Film Heritage Trust.

In the photo above, he’s with Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy. Next to them is Molly O’Shea, granddaughter of pioneer Wellington film-maker John O’Shea, and her godmother Ginette McDonald.

And here he is with Whetu Fala, a board member on the new Trust, which aims to save and restore films from New Zealand production of past decades.
