Teenagers caught with stolen goods after burglaries at Upper Hutt College

News from NZ Police
Three Upper Hutt teenagers are assisting Police with enquiries following several burglaries at Upper Hutt College.

Computer and CCTV equipment was stolen during three burglaries over the last two months and, on one occasion, the school was extensively tagged and covered in graffiti.

On Sunday, Police were advised of a another possible burglary at the school and that three youths had been seen acting suspiciously around the college before leaving the grounds in a hurry.

Police attended and located the three a short distance from the school.

They were carrying stolen property.

A subsequent search warrant was executed at a nearby address which uncovered a substantial amount of stolen property.

The teens, aged 15-16, will be referred to Youth Services Hutt Valley.
