Porirua homicide investigation – third man arrested

Police investigating the homicide of 19-year-old Sosiua Helotu Ula in Waitangarua executed search warrants in South Auckland this morning with the assistance of Counties Manukau Police.

A 28-year-old male sought in relation to the inquiry was located and arrested for drug offences connected to the incident. He is the third person to face charges in connection with the circumstances surrounding Mr Ula’s death.

He will appear in the Manukau District Court today charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply and conspiracy to supply methamphetamine.

The Kapiti-Mana CIB investigation is continuing with a range of inquiries, with huge assistance provided by members of the public.

Wellington Police investigating the homicide of Sosiua Helotu Ula have arrested a man for drug offences connected to the incident during which Mr Ula sustained fatal injuries falling from a black Mercedes in Waitangirua on Sunday 7 October. The 38-year-old will appear in the Porirua District Court tomorrow charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply.

We’re continuing to appeal to members of the public who saw a black Mazda RX8 or a black Mercedes in the Waitangirua area on the afternoon of Sunday 7 October, and who have not yet spoken with us, to come forward.
