New travel software delivers more efficient itineraries

News from WREDA
Wellington-based travel software company Tourwriter have launched a new product designed to reinvent the way tour operators design and deliver itineraries to their customers.

Called Minim, Tourwriter have used their experience in creating successful Tour Operator software over the last 14 years to develop an intuitive platform to help automate and manage time-consuming tasks. For example, tour operators using Minim can create an itinerary in less than 15 minutes.

Tourwriter CEO Glenn Campbell says it took 24 months to develop Minim. Its launch means users will be able to create quotes, collaborate, handle time consuming tasks, and accept payments from their customers automatically. Users log into the platform and use ultra-intuitive templates to create bespoke itineraries, gain real-time insights on their organisation, craft itineraries and connect with travellers.

“Minim includes cutting-edge innovations. We’ve built in-itinerary chat which enables users to communicate with their customers. We have also created functionality for tour operators to better collaborate with other businesses – like ground handlers – and that’s a world-first.”

Minim is available as a standalone SaaS platform, or as an add-on for customers using the Tourwriter platform – making Tourwriter the first company worldwide to offer customers a true end-to-end tour operator software solution.

Already a well-loved product for tour operators across the globe, their founding Tourwriter platform has helped deliver memorable experiences to over a million travellers.

“We’re proud our platform has helped over one million travellers as they experience the world, and in the last 14 years, we’ve seen some incredible itineraries. From sledding with huskies in the Arctic Circle, sleeping in an igloo in Finland, to swimming with whale sharks in Panama and camping with Zebras in Botswana,” says Glenn.

Sri Lanka and Mongolia are two spots Tourwriter expect to be the most popular new travel destinations in 2019.

Tourwriter was established in 2004 to develop software that would bring tailor-made itinerary creation to the tour operator. Their new SaaS model means they have carefully built a browser-based option with their customers in mind, available on any device and gives customers greater user flexibility.
