There is also a ‘Museums Wellington” organisation, which controls four of the six entities that are listed above as also being under the control of ‘Experience Wellington.” Seems like some doubling-up in these areas of control?

You asked the question: have I heard of this organisation? the answer is “No”.
It appears Experience Wellington has been around a while. Perhaps it needs to lift its profile.

Wellington Museums Trust is the CCO – trading as Experience Wellington.
    Other CCOs with trading names….
Karori Sanctuary Trust – trading as Zealandia
Wellington Regional Development Agency Ltd – trading as WellingtonNZ (formerly trading as WREDA).

These CCOs (and others which perhaps the Council’s officers will mention to new Councillors some time later this triennium) are designed to provide lavish Board fees for people with expertise at keeping the lid on what we have a right to know. They should be a direct responsibility of the Council like the Waterfront set-up which is still struggling against the loss of its independence.

Haven’t heard of “experience Wellington” The tv advert seen this week may have been generated by that organisation. The advert was way out of touch with the real Wellington.

What will she do if the Experience is BAAD?
    “We’ll look into it.”

Well, jumping off the platform near Te Papa into seawater mingled with sewage might just give them an ‘experience’ the next day.

How much does all this “experience” cost the ratepayers, just asking ?
