Lean man with long hair steals drugs from safe in Tasman Street vet centre

Wellington Police are investigating a robbery at the Tasman Street Vet Centre at around 7.00pm yesterday.

A man entered the Vet Centre just before closing and forced the staff member to open the safe before stealing drugs and fleeing from the scene on foot.

“The male is described as Caucasian in his 30s of lean build and about 185 centimeters tall,” says Detective Sergeant Corey Watts.

“He was wearing a bright red t-shirt with dark sunglasses. His haircut is described as unkempt and hanging past the shoulders at the back with a much shorter cut on the sides and the top”, says Detective Sergeant Corey Watts.

Wellington Police are trying to locate this man and are urging anyone who may have seen him in the area, before or after the robbery, or who recognises this description to make contact.
