Police have released the name of a cyclist who was killed when struck by a car on Ohariu Valley Road, Wellington yesterday.

He was Douglas Henry Mabey, 56, of Waikanae.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and a cause of the crash is yet to be finalised.
