Titahi Bay man killed, caught between forklift and cargo in wharf warehouse

A 47-year-old Titahi Bay man was killed while working on the Wellington waterfront early this morning.

The man was killed when he was caught between a forklift and cargo during a warehouse packing operation on a wharf.

He was Mark Samoa, a father of three. He had been working for the Port for nine years.

CentrePort, Police and the Department of Labour are investigating the accident, which occurred about half an hour after midnight.
