Steven Joyce discussed problems with Novopay when he met payroll administrators at Wellington Girls College today, according to the NZ Herald.
The paper reports the Minister told them to brace themselves because the next pay round this week would be very challenging.
“There are so many new things happening – including a new collective agreement for the secondary school teachers and this will be quite difficult for everyone involved.” Steven Joyce, who has taken over responsibility for Novopay from Hekia Parata, is to meet other stakeholders this week, including unions.
Radio New Zealand reports that the Minister signalled he is likely to stay with the flawed Novopay system. But he said he wants to explore a number of options before making a final decision.
