Fast lane in Ngauranga Gorge road closed after car hits barrier

A car travelling north crashed into a barrier on State Highway 1 in the Ngauranga Gorge early this morning.

Police at the crash said it occurred between the Interchange and Johnsonville.

As a result of this the fast lane was closed because the barrier was damaged.

It will be repaired later this morning
