WoW has problems with on-line ticketing system – postpones bookings till Monday

News from WoW
The World of WearableArt Awards Show wishes to apologise for the inconvenience loyal show-goers have experienced over the weekend due to technical difficulties with the ticket payment system.

CEO Meg Matthews says tickets for the 2013 WOW Awards Show were made available for sale on-line on Friday at 6am. However, unfortunately the ticket payment system was unable to process 12,000 ticket sales attempted within the same 60 seconds, causing it to go off-line.

“It is very upsetting that people have had problems buying tickets,” Matthews says. “As well as working with the technical team to fix the problem since Friday, the entire WOW head office, wardrobe team and ticketing team have been working tirelessly throughout the weekend, contacting people in person to work through the confirmation of their requested tickets.

“Our avid followers have been very supportive, but of course they are anxious to know if they can get a ticket, but we can ensure they will.”

“For those who were unable to access our system, there are still 43,000 tickets available across all shows, so there will be plenty of seats still available, when we resume sales on Monday 11 February,” she says. “This has never happened before and we thank everyone for their patience in what is a very frustrating time for all.”
