Three teenagers attacked and robbed in Wainuiomata alleyway
News from NZ Police
Three teenagers were robbed in a Wainuiomata alleyway at about 10:20pm last night.
The three young men were walking through an alleyway from Heath Grove to Moohan Street when they were approached from behind by a group of 3-4 Maori or Polynesian males.
The offenders caught the victims by surprise and assaulted them, whilst making demands for personal property. Items were stolen from the victims and one of them suffered facial injuries.
Detective Iain Burns of the Hutt Valley CIB says the offenders are believed to be about 20 years old and may have been using a red Jeep Cherokee.
“Police are seeking information from anyone in Wainuiomata area who may know the identity of these males, or may have seen a red Jeep Cherokee in the Wainuiomata area over Saturday night”.
Anyone with information should contact the Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
