Man attacked, injured and robbed near Basin Reserve; police seek three attackers

A 51-year-old man was robbed at the Basin Reserve end of Cambridge Terrace between midnight and 2.30am last Friday morning. He received minor injuries during the robbery in which a group of two women and one man assaulted him and stole property from him.

The male offender is described as Maori, 35-40 years old of medium to stocky build.

He was with a European woman described as 25-30 years old, with long brown hair, blue eyes with an average build who was wearing a red sleeveless dress.

The second woman was described as Maori, 25-35 years old, with black tattooed lips and a moko on her chin and wearing a white beanie.

Wellington Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the identity of the persons described above to contact them on (04) 381 2000.
