Freeview provides two services, HD (UHF aerial) and Satellite. Your comments about Al Jazeera and China TV apply only to HD – neither of them is/will be available on Satellite.

That’s a further reminder about the under-whelming impact of Freeview, when it ought to be offering strong competition for the Sky monopoly. Seems it’s being held back from doing this.
