News from Wellington Police
74-year-old Ernest Koch, reported missing from his Lyall Bay home since Saturday night, has been found safe and well.
Police have spoken to Mr Koch and have no concerns for his safety or wellbeing.
They are happy that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance and will be closing this matter.
News from Wellington Police – 27 October
Family and police are concerned for the well being of Mr Ernest Koch, who left his home in Lyall Bay last night for a walk and failed to return. Mr Koch is described as follows:
A 74 year old Caucasian of about 5’8” in height. He is very fit and of a thin wiry build. He has hearing aids and wears steel rimmed prescription glasses. Mr Koch has short greying hair.
He was last seen wearing: Black coloured jeans. A black cotton sweatshirt with white horizontal stripes all over it and a black knit collar. Over this he was wearing a grey polar fleece with a half length zip. This top has a Royal NZ Navy badge and possibly a Parliamentary badge on it also. He was also wearing a black coloured light windbreaker.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Koch or has any information regarding his whereabouts please contact your local police.
