A staff member at the Palmerston North testing station of Vehicle Inspection New Zealand was killed in an accident yesterday.
The Manawatu Standard reports that a vehicle rolled off a hydraulic lift while being examined at the testing station.
It quotes a police officer as saying that three staff members and two vehicles were hit by the car – a 61-year-old man was killed and the other two suffered moderate injuries.
