Mail box robbed in Featherston

News from NZ Police
The mail box outside the Post Office in Featherston was damaged and emptied tonight.

Police recovered some damaged and undamaged mail. But it’s certain that items of value, such as cheques or cash, have been taken.

Anyone who posted mail containing cheques in the mail box outside the Featherston Post Office on 43 Fitzherbert Street during the Easter weekend should notify their bank and the receiver immediately.

The Featherston Police are working with NZ Post to ensure the recovered mail is sent as soon as possible.

Police encourage anyone who has posted mail in the Fitzherbert Street Post Office Box to call the Featherston Police on 06 308 9044
