Press Release – IT Engine
IT Engine took out the awards for Server Platform and Small Business Solution in the New Zealand Microsoft Partner Awards on Tuesday night. The company won two out of the three categories it entered and was a finalist in the third.
IT Engine won against competition from much larger companies. Delia Gill, Managing Director of IT Engine, says “I am so very proud of the team! They worked really hard in a very competitive environment. This win certainly shows we are going in the right direction”.
They won the Small Business Solution Provider Award for an Office 365 deployment for a business of fifteen people (done during the August 2013 Wellington earthquakes). This took the client from a non-functioning cloud solution to a 100% solid platform. “The earthquake changed all our work plans, but we proved our flexibility and did the work while the client was in temporary offices,” says Delia.
Their win in the Server Platform section was for the merger of three industry training organisations into a single entity. This was done over a six-week period. IT Engine completed the work on time, within budget and with no downtime for the client (who has more than 120 employees). “It was a highly complex project,” explains Delia. “It is rare for any IT provider to be given the opportunity to merge three businesses at the same time but they all had totally different networks as well. We’re thrilled that we produced a successful outcome”.
Both of these projects show the depth of experience that IT Engine has as a business. With their long-serving staff of 12, they have the ability to manage highly technical requirements. Their clients are in most industry sectors and nationwide across New Zealand.
The Microsoft Partner Awards, held at the Langham Hotel in Auckland, recognise outstanding Microsoft Partners for their work and client-focused solutions. The awards encourage best practice in the IT industry.
IT Engine has also been invited to submit entries and case studies of their work for the Worldwide Microsoft Awards in July.
