Berhampore campaigning for 30kmh in Adelaide Road

Press Release – Made in Berhampore
This coming Saturday and Sunday, Berhampore residents will be on the streets to raise safety awareness for children, the elderly, scooter and cycle riders along their busy stretch of Adelaide Rd.

We propose a 30km zone for the roads near Berhampore School and shops. Residents have prepared some fun ways to draw attention to this including “Welcome to Berhampore” sign boards and “30km” heart signs.

Greet and meet your neighbours or wave as you drive past. Most important is everyone – “Welcome to Berhampore!”

Main picket taking place 11am till 2pm this Saturday 7 June: then on Sunday 8th meet the neighbours and discuss the plans at ‘Rinski Korsakov’ cafe.

Location: on and around the corner of Luxford Street and Adelaide Road, Berhampore. If you can give an hour or two we would really appreciate it. Bring your kids!
We would love you to dress up, chalk the walk, bring a thermos of tea and some deck chairs, balloons . . .
