News from NZ Police – June 23
Police hold concerns for a 60 year old woman who has been missing in the Paraparaumu area since approximately 4.15pm this afternoon.

The woman, who has a medical condition, left her Rifleman Lane home to go on a casual walk – and failed to return or make contact with her family.

She was dressed in a light grey coloured cardigan with a cable design down the front, dark blue jeans and white sneakers. This raises concerns that her clothing is unsufficient to protect her from the cold evening and night that is forecast for the Kapiti area.

The missing woman is caucasian, 5’7″ tall, of slim build and has short dark red hair. She is not believed to be carrying anything.

She may have become confused about her whereabouts and therefore is unable to make her way home.

Police ask that anyone who may have seen a woman fitting this description contact the Central Communications Centre on 04-381-2000. We also ask that persons who are out and about in the Paraparaumu area report any sightings.
