Customers last Saturday at a Kent Terrace cafe could be close covid contacts

A cafe on Kent Terrace in Wellington has today been named as a possible place of close contact with a covid infected person.

The Ministry of Health has warned customers who were seated at Myrtle, 23 Kent Terrace, last Saturday between 11.15 and 12.45 that they need to isolate, and test immediately and on day 5. Seated customers are asked also to call contact tracers.

However standing customers at Myrtle on the same day and time are categorised only as “casual contacts.” They do not need to isolate, but should self-monitor for covid symptoms till Monday.

Other locations of interest named today include Bottle O in Featherston last Tuesday between 3.22 and 3.44, the Warehouse in Masterton last Thursday between 11 and 11.20, Pine Haven Orchards in Greytown on Wednesday between 11.30 and 11.45, and SuperValue in Featherston on Monday between 10 and 10.15 and on Tuesday between 10 and 10.15.
